Cleaning Team - After a number of years as members of the Cleaning Team both Beryl Brickliffe and Anne Cook have decided it is time to hang up their dusters. Huge thanks to them for all their hard work and dedication. So...we have a couple of spaces on the Cleaning Team. Are you up for a bit of dusting and sweeping? A polishing frenzy? If you could spare an hour maybe once every other month Georgina Styles would be DELIGHTED to hear from you. (738 397)

Friendship Club - On November 5th the Friendship club met in S.M.H. This was a surprise for one of our longest serving member of the Friendship Club Frances O’Dea whose late husband was a member of the S.M.H. fund raising committee. Frances is leaving the village to be nearer her son who lives in Didcot. Members of the Friendship club laid on a lovely buffet to wish a fond farewell to Frances and to wish her well in her move. However we will have the pleasure of her company at the Christmas Lunch on December 10th.

The Remembrance service on November 10th was very well attended including the girls from Tudor Hall School. Instead of a sermon from Elizabeth we had a Q&A together with Janet Hodges about both the British Legion and Kohima where Janet's father Ken fought. Janet, who is the Bodicote Legion Standard bearer, paraded the Standard for the last post and Reveille and the National Anthem.

Christmas Bazaar: Saturday 7th December, 2 - 4 pm at St Mary's House.

We are all looking forward to the concert in Broughton Church on November 23rd and will give a report in the next issue. All the services over the Christmas period will be found elsewhere in the Wykeham News. We hope to see you at one of the services. We would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
