November News

The PCC would like to say a huge thanks to Lin and her Epwell Elves for their hard work in making the Church Bazaar a resounding success. It was a very festive event with cards, Christmas gifts and mulled wine on offer and thanks to people’s generosity a wonderful £764 was raised for St Anne’s.

Continuing on the festive theme there are events taking place in the village in December which will hopefully appeal to all ages. First there is the Christingle service at 5.00pm on Sunday 8th Dec after which everyone is invited back to the Village Hall for a glass of wine and refreshments. Then under Dawn’s tireless direction the children will start rehearsing for the Nativity play which takes place in the church on Christmas Eve at 6.00pm. Later that evening when the costumes and stage have been packed away, there will be an informal gathering in the church at 10.00pm to sing carols around the tree by candlelight. And, looking forward, the Christmas Day service, which will be taken by Ronald, will start at 9.00am.
