Shutford's sounds

Henry the Hoover went missing from the church vestry at the end of October about the same time as the offertory box was vandalised. We hope he will still be returned unharmed! (breath not held!!)

We look forward to welcoming Bishop Colin to St Martin's Church for what we think is his first visit on Advent Sunday, together with the Benefice Choir and our friends from across the benefice.

The final Messy Church of the year will be on Saturday, 13th December 4.00pm - 6.00pm in the village hall: please take a pause from Christmas shopping to spend a couple of hours doing crafts and enjoying refreshments.

This year’s village Carol Singing, organised by the Community Association, will be on Wednesday, 17th December starting at about 6.30pm. Daisy will be joining us and refreshments will be served in church at the end of the singing. Whatever the weather carol singing will take place.

This year`s Christingle will be on 21st December at 3.00pm. There will be seasonal refreshments afterwards during which the Christmas Draw will be made. The collection at the service will be given to The Children’s Society.

If anyone would like an informal Carol Sing in church on Christmas Eve during the evening, please contact a churchwarden.
