Shutford News

It's been a good summer of fund raising in Shutford this summer with £1250 received from the Village Festival in June towards the annual building insurance and £450 raised from two coffee mornings. These events were great social successes.

There have been two weddings and two baptisms which have brought many more villagers and visitors into church to celebrate these special occasions.

11 Riders and Striders visited St Martin's on 12th September raising funds for their churches and OHCT, far fewer than usual. 3 represented the Wykeham Benefice but none from Shutford.

Our annual Harvest Thanksgiving is on 27th September when the church will be decorated with fruit and vegetable and as ever we will be pleased to receive gifts from villagers.

There will be Ploughman's Supper and Sale in Shutford Village on Monday 28th September at 7.30pm raising funds for the church and Katharine House Hospice.
