Shutford news

St Martin's Church was beautifully decorated for the Harvest Thanksgiving on 29th September. Familiar harvest hymns were sung and the thought for the day was the harvest celebrations with cash donations, gifts of produce, flowers and food for the supper. The following evening a Supper and Sale was held in Shutford Village Hall which raised £420 for Katharine House Hospice. Thank you to all who supported it.

The Remembrance Service on 10th November returns to its 6pm slot with music provided by Deddington Brass. A retiring collection will be given to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. As usual a door to door collection for the appeal will be held in Shutford and surrounding villages for two weeks before.

There will be a Beetle Drive in Shutford Village Hall on Saturday, 16th Novembr at 4pm. Take an hour or so of fun, away from screens of all kinds, with plenty of chocolate and refreshments to finish.
