March news

All age worship for Mothering Sunday was a joyous occasion with well known hymns, some uplifting thoughts about mothers, beautiful flowers and cream teas. Sadly some missing ingredients were children and their mums, as we failed to compete with the rugby and football on TV! We will not be disheartened and will try to attract a larger congregation by changing times of worship to suit more people.

Family Worship is not children's worship but is for everyone: it is quite informal, short in time with popular hymns and songs and an important message. There is also food and drink. Join us next month on 21st April at 4.00pm and help us celebrate the Queen's 87th birthday and remember St George's Day, 23rd April as well.

Deb Harvey has arranged Afternoon Teas in Shutford Village Hall between 1.30pm and 5.30pm on Sunday, 7th April. Money raised will be given to Leukaemia Research in memory of Maureen Sabin, a loyal member of St Martin's Church and PCC.
