Looking ahead in Sibford

You are cordially invited to a curry lunch in the village hall directly after the Remembrance Day service on Sunday 8 November. Organised by the Ypres War Graves visitors (report in July/August Sibford Scene) the purpose of the lunch is to raise funds for Holy Trinity Church. In the small hall there will be an exhibition of moving images, artefacts and mementos representing not only the trip but the history of the Sibford Fallen. Please come and raise funds for our church where the local lads, who gave their lives in the Great War, undoubtedly worshipped. Tickets are £10 per adult which includes a main course and pudding. No charge for accompanying children.Tickets available through Reverend Ronald Hawkes (780 555), Judith Weeks (788 393) Sara Thomas (788 797) Charlotte Bird (780 832). Please pre-book as we need to know numbers for catering purposes!

All of you will have had a leaflet about the Clock Fund and we are delighted with the response. Hopefully Smith’s of Derby will be in attendance soon – we need to get advice from the Diocesan Clock Advisor and then also apply for a Faculty to do the work.
