Christian Aid collection

The result of the house-to-house collection this year for Christian Aid came to a magnificent £1,072, plus £160 from Gift Aid - a total of £1,232. With over 60% of householders returning an envelope this was again a wonderful achievement by the villages.

The collection is organised by Sibford Churches Together, a co-operation of the Roman Catholics, Anglicans, Methodists and Quakers, with 22 collectors, to all of whom we are most grateful. Christian Aid is a well-run charity with many hundreds of projects worldwide, all endeavouring to bring change that eradicates the causes of poverty, striving to achieve equality, dignity and freedom for all, regardless of faith or nationality, accomplished with supervised local partners charged with carrying out the necessary work.
