Swalcliffe news

What a wonderful sunny day we had on Saturday, 29th June to celebrate the wedding of Henry Taylor and Hannah Allen. The church was packed with 250 guests and the bridal couple left for the reception in a carriage drawn by two white horses ... A magnificent picture for the onlookers cheering from the Green and a lovely surprise for the bride who thought she was going away on a tractor!

The Pet Service on Sunday 30th was very well attended, the church still looking lovely with all the flowers from the wedding the day before. We had dogs of all sorts and sizes, (lots of barking!) and two Guinea pigs. Many thanks to Christopher Dean from Tadmarton for bringing along Sid the snake and Gem the tortoise, now the oldest participant! A delicious tea followed but apologies to the dogs as I forgot their biscuits!

The Harvest Supper will be our next event, on 19th October. Once again this will be in the church – such a beautiful venue. Details on village website SOON Hope you all have very happy and warm Summer holidays.
