November News

The Harvest festival service and supper were well attended and our thanks to the ladies for the enjoyable supper. The sum of £400 was donated to The Banbury Food Bank Project.

The service of Remembrance was well attended; a wreath and crosses were laid at the memorial and Pipe Major Millar led the congregation to and from the church.

The council thank the church yard mower group; Ron Wackrill, Malcolm Moodie, John Whitney, Mick Smith, and Rolf Smith led by their coordinator Mike Hillman. More volunteers would be welcome - one hour per week per section as required in the season; call Mike on 780 214.

The dates for 10.00 a.m. Tuesday Communion are published in the Benefice calendar. This service is followed by tea/coffee and biscuits (and often cake!) served in The Lampet Arms. Morning Prayers are on Wednesdays at 08.45am in the church. Everyone will receive a warm welcome at ALL our services.

The Craft Fayre held in the Village Hall on November 16th at the enthusiastic suggestion of Pat and John Salethorn raised over £800 for church funds. There were books, crafts, cakes, teddies, honey, refreshments, gifts and refreshments. A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise the event or supported it in any way.

We plan to hold a monthly Y Course at the home of Richard and Jane Asser once the New Year is under way; do join in and ask those hard questions about faith, life, God, and the even the church!
