SwalcliffeChurch of St Peter and St Paul

Since formation in 2002 PIVA have established themselves across Europe as one of the UK’s leading early music groups. It is with great pleasure that we welcome this fine band of musicians to Swalcliffe.

The clock rolls back to the Renaissance in a show especially arranged for Swalcliffe. The Flower of all Cities will take us on a musical tour of 16th Century London and will reflect the broad range of music that would have been heard in everyday Elizabethan London.

PIVA take late 16th century dance and ballad tunes, they add their own innovative and diverse arrangements, they play with consummate skill and make this wonderful music ring out in the 21st century.

During the interval you will be able to meet the band and the instrument makers and talk to them about their instruments and music.
