Well the builders are in, the water is connected, and the kitchen and loo are under construction. Hallelujah!

It was lovely to see the church so beautifully decorated and so full for the Benefice Harvest Eucharist attended by over 50 people. Mind you, spirits were just slightly dampened when a chunk of south aisle roof dropped into the church and we discovered we have death watch beetle! After a lead survey, and then a bat survey, and advice from the architect and DAC we shall embark upon more repairs and renovation.

Orlando Jopling continues his Cello Tour with a visit to Swalcliffe on Remembrance Sunday, November 8th at 4pm. He is a well known and highly acclaimed performer, and the candlelit church will be a wonderful setting for Bach’s fabulous Cello Suites. There’s also Afternoon Tea to look forward to.
