A lovely, warm and welcoming happy Mothering Sunday service was taken by Ronald who minutes before the start saved the day when flooding threatened with a geyser of hot water spraying up and into the South Aisle from a leaking pipe! The ladder was scaled, the ballcock turned off and we now await the builders once again!

Lent lunch at Tyne Hill Farm was a great success when 26 people enjoyed much friendly chat and laughter. The soups and the rhubarb crumble with CUSTARD definitely enhanced the mood!! The marvellous sum of £250 was raised for the Red Cross Syria Appeal. Many thanks to everyone who came and so generously donated.

A couple of dates for your diaries which will be our main fundraisers for the church this year are the Alfresco Dinner on Saturday, 25th June with the theme of A Midsummer Night's Dream by kind invitation of Peter and Virginia Beddowes...more details next month.  And…the Harvest Supper on Saturday, 22nd October in the Village Hall.
