The Church Council met on Thursday 14th September to review recent fund raising events and church activities.
The Scarecrow competition and concert on the 22nd July was a great success. Our thanks to Shirley and Chris for the organisation of both the concert and competition. Our thanks also to Jane for the competition prizes.
The Auction of Promises was on Saturday 19th August in The Lampet. All proceeds will help us to improve the Church Kitchen area. Our grateful thanks to Des and Phyllis for hosting this event and to Chris for all his organisation and compilation of the items for auction. The evening was very enjoyable and thanks to all participants whose contributions amounted to just on £4000.
The Harvest Festival Supper on the 1st October will be held in the Village Hall after the evening service. Please let Shirley Wackrill know if you would like to come to the supper, Tel: 780 596. It will be good food and an auction of harvest fruits etc.
Saturday October 21st is the planned date for our famous Pudding Club in the Village Hall; several puddings to sample and good company to enjoy.
