The Friendship Club met in St. Mary’s House on Tuesday July 2nd. Our speaker was Julie Taylor who spoke to us about her visit to South America, namely Ecuador. This is a country that has very few tourists but the people are so very friendly! Julie came armed with loads of photographs which helped to give us a feel of what life for them is like. The country is quite diverse: one day you will be wearing shorts going through the forest and later very warm clothing up in the mountains. Thank you Julie, it was really interesting. The afternoon closed with Tea & Cakes. Next Meeting will be September 3rd at 2.30pm.

A new notice board has been erected in St. Mary’s House; this has been supplied by the Parish Council.

On August 19th St. Mary the Virgin church Broughton with North Newington will have the Archdeacon’s Inspection.This will take place at 11.30am - 12.30pm.
