Worcester College, Oxford, Chapel Choir came to Broughton on July 13th and sang Evensong and, after a brief meal break at the Saye and Sele Arms, sang a concert. All the music was by British composers. The Evensong was an inspiring service, and the choir’s singing in both events was wonderful. The congregation coaxed an encore out of them at the concert. Not only that but generous donations by those who attended gave the Choir Fund £150 and a similar amount for St Mary’s.
