There were about 25 people at our buffet style Lent Lunch in the Village Hall on 26th March. There was lots of home-made soup, bread, cheese and cake to be enjoyed. £260 was collected from donations which has been given to Katharine House Hospice. Our Lent Jars of Change Appeal has raised about £200 for Helen Hodgkins Trust to provide water filters and implement sustainable water projects In Ghana.

There was a good congregation for Easter Sunday Family Communion: the church was beautifully decorated with spring flowers and there were chocolate eggs for everyone and even an Easter bunny!

This year`s annual Christian Aid Week is 13th – 19th May and highlights the plight of the people of Haiti and others facing the aftermath of natural disasters. This year's slogan is Together we're stronger than the storms. Distinctive red and black collection envelopes will be delivered to each house and volunteers will call to collect donations during the week; for details of the appeal see http://caweek.org.
