£470 was collected during Christian Aid Week: £390 door to door and £80 at the Beetle Drive. Anyone who missed collectors can donate at caweek.org.

John and Julie hosted the Community Lunch on 6th June raising £150 for church funds. Everyone is welcome at the lunches held each Thursday from 12.30pm in Shutford Village Hall: good company and food guaranteed.

There were 6 children and 12 supporters at Messy Church on 15th June which celebrated summer and Father's Day. There were plenty of crafts to take part in and excellent refreshments to finish. Those who participate enjoy the experience, but attendance is disappointing especially as the event is free: come on parents and guardians please give up a couple of hours and bring your youngsters along next time. As the saying goes, use it or lose it! There are craft resources in Shutford available for benefice use.

Swallows have hatched in the church porch and the wild flowers in the churchyard are in full bloom – summer is here!
