About 40 people attended an Act of Remembrance at 11.00am at the village war memorial on Remembrance Sunday. Later in the day a Service of Remembrance was held in St Martin`s Church at 6.00pm. Music for the hymns was provided by Deddington Brass: they also played before and after the service. Julie, one of their musicians, played the Last Post and Reveille on both occasions. A retiring collection of £100 has been given to The Royal British Legion, Poppy Appeal.

Messy Church, Saturday 14th December, 4pm in the Village Hall, will have a Christmas theme. There will be crafts, the making of Christingles and carols and refreshments to finish. The event is free of change.

The Skeptics A Capella Trio, Sunday 15th December, 7pm in St Martin's Church. An evening of carols, readings and music from The Skeptics. Refreshments from 6.30pm.

The church council and congregation wish everyone a happy, healthy and peaceful Christmas and 2020 and give special thanks to Ronald and Elisabeth for their ministry and friendship during the last 7 years.
