Sibford's Snippets

Rogation Sunday was marked with a special service which included walking to see the fields, the Village Hall, and thinking about water, rubbish and our care of the earth.

We were joined by members of the Friends, the Methodists, and the Roman Catholics for the service to mark the end of Christian Aid week.

At 7am on May 17th a number of people gathered at the War Memorial to think about the boys of Sibford who were killed in WW1, and then 15 intrepid pilgrims set off to northern France to visit every grave of our boys.

Please do book Saturday July 11th to come to the Primary School at 6pm for a piece of birthday cake and a glass of fizz to celebrate Sibford 175 – a big birthday for the church. There will be a small exhibition about the church’s history, some music by the Songbirds and the School children, and you are all invited.
