The plans for the kitchen and lavatory inside the church are progressing steadily if not as fast as we might hope. It is amazing just how many worthy groups and bodies must be consulted when any work is carried out on a church or graveyard.

Martin Harris has expertly reduced in size the High Altar, which had a plywood top, and was beginning to “list to starboard” because of the weight of the candlesticks. Mrs Sancroft-Baker has adjusted the size of the frontals, and we are looking into getting a new red frontal as the old one is well past its sell by date.
