Swalcliffe news

The APCM was held at the end of April and reports about the state of both building and finances were received. Churchwardens and PCC members were elected. Please remember, this is ‘your’ church and we already value hugely the significant contributions made in time and money by so many of the village residents. If you have further ideas about what we ought to be doing to serve the community still better, please let us know.

What a wonderful First Communion we experienced at 6am on Easter Sunday with 33 people attending, lighting candles and renewing their faith, awaiting the rising sun on a new dawn through the East window.

We are very pleased to welcome Ronny Loxton's exhibition of her paintings in Art Weeks starting on Saturday, 5th May. If anyone would like help with wheelchair access please let either Ronny, Ronald or Gay know well in advance. Please note that the church will be locked at night the week before and during Art Weeks. The doors will close at 5pm and open the following day at 9.30am. If anyone needs access outside these hours please contact Gay (788 427) or Ronny (788 146).

The Hook Norton Brass Band will be playing in the Church on Saturday 5th May at 7pm. Doors open at 6.15pm. No tickets needed but donations very welcome. Do come along and join us, bring a cushion or two! Come and have a drink at the Bar, wander around the Art Weeks Exhibition and enjoy some singing too!
