February news

The Burns night supper, held in the Village Hall, was once again a great success and many thanks are due to the organisers Aileen Hawkins and Phil Shearer, as well as the Swales band and many others who contributed.

The church community is going to be active in March, with a Lent group meeting each Saturday morning at 10.30am at Abingdon House in Park Lane to study the Book of Revelation, and a Lent Austerity Lunch on Monday 11 March at 12.30pm to 2pm at Grange Farm, courtesy of Barbara Taylor, with proceeds to go to the Frank Wise School.

Over the Easter weekend itself, there is to be a Messy Church session at the Church on Good Friday morning from 10am for children of all ages. This is designed to introduce children to what the Church really means with games and activities, and is fun as well as informative - children should be accompanied by a parent. If those of you with children will be around on Good Friday morning, why not come along?

On Easter Day itself, we will start the celebrations with the Easter Ceremonies at 6am as the sun rises through the East Window of our great church and follow this with a Family Communion at 11am.
