June news

We had the most wonderful Open Farm Sunday service in the garden at Home Farm – thanks Lyn and Geoff Flowers – with an altar and pews constructed from straw bales, a blue sky and brilliant sunshine ceiling, a sermon from the Diocesan /Rural Officer Glyn Evans, and the Blessing of the Beasts and Thanksgiving for the First Fruits.

Scarecrows will adorn the village before long we hope. The Scarecrows Folk and Jazz Band are coming to church on July 18th and we’d love to mark their performance with a whole host of Scarecrows in your front gardens. There is a flyer advertising it all….and there’s a prize for the best 3 Scarecrows…and a poster about the folk concert.

Mr C N Dean has again organised the very popular Promises Auction. Promises include an original script from The Archers radio programme, clay pigeon shooting, one round of golf for four persons at Wrag Barn Golf Club, dinner for 8 people, Pimms and Cream Tea for 12 people, a visit to the Sky News Studio for 2 people. All bids to Mr C N Dean on 788 104 by 31st July 2015.
