Swalcliffe news for November 2020

For details of all of the services and events taking place at the church please visit A Church Near You.

The Editor of the Wykeham Benefice News apologises for repeating Swalcliffe's October news in the November WBN. Here is what should have been included.

We are thrilled with the news of the appointment of Rev’d Neil Bowler as our new vicar and look forward to him beginning his ministry with us in January next year.

In the meantime services continue with the help of visiting clergy and many thanks are due to John Tattersall for keeping all church matters running so smoothly. Our Treasurer, Robin Grimston, has also taken a Lay Led service which was most successful.

Harvest Festival cheered us up with lovely flower arrangements and the largest marrow ever seen!

The APCM was held in church on 26th September when Church Wardens, Gay Harris and Robin Grimston were re-elected.

The Drainage Survey produced interesting results and the subsequent quotation for repairs sent shock waves through the PCC! Just another challenge!

If anyone has any winter clothes, shoes etc that they would like to donate to Polly who helps those in desperate need in Banbury please kindly leave anything you may have inside the church. Gay will be doing a delivery to her in the middle of November or if you would like a collection from your door please let her know (01295 788427). Many thanks.
